Student Supervisors: Summer Items to Complete

Review Student Worker Position Descriptions and Job Postings

Students may be home over the summer break, but they may also be looking at our student positions and applying to them for the upcoming academic year. We are asking you to review your student job descriptions before requesting them to be posted in Paycom this year. All student job descriptions should include the information in this Position Description Template that is located on our student employment webpage. You must review you descriptions and have them posted online each year. You can view your old positions to grab some information as references, but a whole new job posting must be made each year. Once you submit your student job in Paycom, Human Resources will review. We recommend starting to review and posting them this month as students will start to apply soon.

Student Time Cards To Be Locked June 26 to Prepare for Fiscal Year End

If you have students working over summer, their time cards will be locked at 5 p.m. on June 26 and they will no longer be able to clock in or out. You will need to email Kelsey Delanoy and Amy Brown with all hours that your student is scheduled to work June 26 5 p.m. to June 30. These hours should be sent to Kelsey and Amy by June 26 at 5 so we have time to add and process these hours for Payroll. Student time cards should be turned back on by 5 p.m. on July 3. If students worked July 1 through July 3, they can submit a punch request for the hours they worked those three days while the time cards were locked.

If you have any questions, please email Kelsey Delanoy, and Amy Brown,

Sign up for a Mandatory Student Supervisor Training

If you supervise student employees, you must attend one of our student supervisor trainings which begin at the end of this month. There will be multiple sessions held May through September to allow for employees to find time in their schedules to attend. If you have not already done so, please fill out this Google Form and select a time you will be available to attend.
