Student Governance

Pacific University encourages all students to become involved with activities to enhance their academic, cultural, social, and recreational experiences outside the classroom. Students are broken out into two governing bodies: undergraduates known as the Undergraduate Student Senate and the governing body for the graduate programs known as the Professional Student Senate.

The Undergraduate Student Senate and Professional Student Senate work with students from their respective areas to provide a student voice within the university government structure and to make decisions as to how funds will be used from the student activity fees. Clubs and organizations within the student body are also recognized and funded by the Undergraduate Student Senate and Professional Student Senate. These programs are run by the senate Vice-President and are in charge of the recognition process and act as a liaison between the senate and the individual clubs and organizations.

Student Activities Office

The Student Activities Office facilitates intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth within the college environment. This is the place to get involved with planning activities, learn about student clubs and organizations, start new organizations, or schedule co-curricular and extra-curricular events for the university community.

Students planning events and activities should talk with the Student Activities Office staff before scheduling to fully understand the planning process and timeline.
