The Oregon AHEC System | OHWI AHEC

The Oregon Area Health Education Center (Oregon AHEC) has five regional centers that coordinate, facilitate and support regional health care workforce education and training programs.

The regional centers are engaged in activities that support K-16 STEM education, health profession students, and continuing education for health care professionals. 

Together the Oregon AHEC System:

  • Fosters networking and collaboration among communities and between academic health centers and community-based centers
  • Serves communities with a demonstrated need of health professionals, in partnership with academic medical centers
  • Identifies and addresses the health care workforce needs of their communities
