Be the Match – Bone Marrow Donor Drive April 28th
Pacific University Football Presents: Be the Match – Bone Marrow Donor Drive
Pacific University Athletics is proud to partner with NMDP (Be The Match) to host a life-saving community event on April 28th from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
This event is part of our ongoing commitment to service, leadership, and making a real impact beyond the field. The Be The Match registry connects patients battling blood cancers and disorders with potential donors who can give them a second chance at life.
Event Details:
- Date: April 28th
- Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Location: Trombley Square (Outside the UC), Pacific University
- Hosted by: Pacific University Football
Why It Matters:
Every 3 minutes, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer. For many, a bone marrow transplant is their best hope for survival, but finding a match can be incredibly difficult. By joining the registry, you could be the one person who saves a life.
How to Participate:
- Stop by during event hours
- Complete a quick registration
- Provide a simple cheek swab
- Potentially become a life-saving donor
This process is fast, non-invasive, and could make a lifelong impact for someone in need.
We encourage all students, staff, athletes, and community members to come out, get involved, and help us make a difference. Together, we can represent what it truly means to be part of the Boxer family, strong, selfless, and committed to something bigger than ourselves.
