Nominate Yourself or a Friend for Staff Senate by March 13

Body

Come join us on Staff Senate! Much is changing at Pacific and in the wider world of higher education, so your voice is needed to help our institution adapt and thrive. As a Senator, you’ll have a front-row seat to learn and engage in larger decisions made at the university, including regular opportunities to meet with and ask questions of senior administrators at Pacific. You’ll hear about new programs and policies to ensure that staff input is part of the decision-making process. You’ll expand your personal network here at Pacific as you work with colleagues from across the university. You’ll help knit us together as a community through the many connections, events, and professional development opportunities that the Staff Senate plans each year. We encourage you to nominate yourself or a colleague today.

Nominations to serve on the Staff Senate are now being accepted through Friday, March 13, in advance of elections held in mid-April. There are nine openings for the 2026-28 Staff Senate term. Staff are eligible to run for Staff Senate if not considered faculty or administration, are benefit-eligible (.5 FTE and up), and have been employed at Pacific for at least one year.
