Today: Dedication Ceremony of Peace Pole on Hillsboro Campus

Join the Pacific Community and the Hillsboro Rotary Foundation for the dedication of a peace pole on the Hillsboro Campus.
Pacific University has collaborated with the Jubitz Family Foundation, the Rotary Action Group for Peace, and the Hillsboro Rotary Foundation  to install a peace pole on campus. The dedication ceremony will take place on Thursday, Apr. 9, 2:30 p.m., adjacent to HPC2. Light refreshments will be served following the dedication inside HPC2.

The peace pole is a monument promoting worldwide peace and understanding. The pole’s message of “may peace prevail on earth” is printed on the pole in multiple languages. Since the first peace pole was planted in Japan in 1975, over 200,000 poles have been erected around the world.
