Students will visit local restaurants to enjoy authentic meals while hearing from a featured speaker about the rich traditions, history, and cultural significance behind each dish, turning lunch into an immersive cultural experience you won’t want to miss!

Our second event will be on April 8th from 12-2pm! Join us in the SMC as we drive to Kubopdx in Portland! Spots are limited so sign up via our Google Form!

We recognize that our staff community is navigating a time of significant transition at the university. We want every employee interested in joining the Staff Senate to be able to run for office while knowing that some of our colleagues need time and space right now to focus on next steps.. For that reason, we are extending our timeline for Staff Senate elections until Friday, April 17. If you are interested in serving on the Staff Senate, please nominate yourself or a peer.

Under Oregon law, if a non-exempt employee works six (6) hours or more in a work period, the employer is required to provide a meal period of at least 30 continuous minutes during which the employee is completely relieved of all duties. What happens when an employee can’t get an uninterrupted 30-minute break? If a non-exempt employee is not relieved of all duties for a full, continuous 30-minute meal period, the employer must pay the employee for the entire 30-minute meal period.
