Spring Philharmonic Orchestra Concert

On May 1st at 7:30 pm on the stage of McCready Hall at the Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center at Pacific University, the Pacific University Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Dijana Ihas, will present an exciting program of works by Béla Bartók, Maurice Ravel, Joseph Haydn, and Franz Schubert.

The evening will also feature a special guest appearance by Elena Harschanko, a gifted young cellist from Salem, performing as soloist in Haydn’s beloved C major Cello Concerto.

Additionally, students from the Film and Media Department, under the instruction of Professor Enie Visburd will present a short film created especially for the performance of Ravel’s work.
