What is a Doctorate of Medical Science?

Does a DMSc Allow Me to Practice Medicine?
Attaining your DMSc is not equivalent to attaining your MD, as the DMSc program does not require medical school or completion of a medical residency.
How Long Does it Take to Get a DMSc degree?
At Pacific, the DMSc program curriculum is 15 weeks long and is designed for recent graduates from U.S. ARC-PA accredited physician associate programs. Applicants may apply for admission to the DMSc program within 24 months of graduation from their PA program. The 36-credit DMSc program includes 24 advanced standing credits from the applicants PA program and completion of a 12 credit online semester at Pacific University.
