The Class of 1975 – Optometry - will enjoy an illuminating evening celebrating women in Optometry! A delicious dinner will be followed by a captivating lecture by Kathy (Saltsgaver) Torrey '74, OD '75 titled "Our Class of 75: On the Cusp of So Much Change!"
The presentation will be dedicated to Del Allen and will encompass Del and Salts’ planning journey for the reunion.
Salts will also offer a reflection on our four years at Pacific and the beginning of women entering the profession of Optometry. In addition to covering the changing demographic of the profession, Salts will reflect on her experience as a female military officer in both the active and reserve Army for 23 years.
Salts will also cover other remarkable changes in the world and profession over the past 49 years and a reflection on what lies ahead. The presentation is designed to be interactive and hopefully bring some lightheartedness while prompting contemplation about the remaining goals for members of the class.
