Join Us for the Annual Glaucoma Symposium

We are excited to announce the annual Glaucoma Symposium, a premier event dedicated to the latest advancements in glaucoma diagnosis and management. This year's symposium promises to be an enriching experience, offering seven hours of COPE-accredited continuing education for optometric physicians.

  • Date: Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024
  • Time: Education begins promptly at 8 a.m.
  • Location:  Cedarbrook Lodge 18525 36th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98188, just minutes from SeaTac airport, and complimentary shuttle service offered to and from the lodge. 
  • Lodging:  We have secured a block of rooms at the Cedar Brook Lodge starting at $209/per night plus taxes and fees, please note that rooms must be secured by Jan. 24 to ensure the group rate.

This course will explore emerging areas in glaucoma that will include new developments in therapy, genetics, and artificial intelligence. A discussion on the evolving role of glaucoma medications and where they fit into the therapeutic paradigm will take place

This course will present a series of cases for group discussion related to the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. Using a series of case presentations, individuals who have ocular hypertension, are identified as glaucoma suspects, or are diagnosed with primary open-angle glaucoma will be discussed

Dr. Fingeret will discuss personalized care in glaucoma.

Dr. Barnebey will discuss the hot topics in glaucoma surgery.

  • 1:30-2:20 p.m. | Understanding the Link: Systemic Diseases and Glaucoma by Caroline Ooley, OD  | COPE #88988-GL

This course will review some of the common systemic diseases that are associated with glaucoma. Attendees will leave the course with increased confidence in managing patients with glaucoma and the systemic conditions discussed.

  • 2:30-3:30 p.m. | Cutting-Edge Solutions for Difficult Glaucoma Cases by Caroline Ooley, OD  | COPE #88987-GL

Glaucoma management can vary between practitioners. This course will cover a variety of case examples on the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. Participants are encouraged to participate in the decision-making process of these difficult cases.
