Rethinking Ramen Workshop

Description

Many people think of ramen as a quick and convenient food that you just eat whenever you don't have any time or need something quick. However, Ramen is a delicious and culturally significant food. During this workshop, participants will learn how the way you prepare ramen is what is most important. We will learn about the basics of nutrition, such as elements of a healthy meal, how many servings and fruits and vegetables you should have per day, how to incorporate more fiber and protein into your diet, and the importance of hydration. Every participant will have the opportunity to customize the ramen experience with the different healthy ingredients that will be provided. We will be highlighting ingredients that are easily accessible from Pacific University students through the Food Share. After the workshop, there will be a tour to the Food Share and Boxer Gardens to get your own ingredients!
