Program Description
TAG Specialization
For licensed teachers, home school providers, parents, paraprofessionals or other individuals seeking to obtain a TAG Specialization as part of their continuing education.
Admissions Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- From an accredited college or university.
- GPA
- Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75, or 3.0 in at least eight semester hours of graduate study.
- Completed GradCAS Application
- Your online application will include transcripts, two references, a résumé, and a TSPC character questionnaire.

How to Apply
Step 1: Create a GradCAS Account
Pacific University uses the GradCAS online system to process TAG Specialization applications. Be sure to select the correct application link based on your intended start.
Summer 2026
Step 2: Prepare and Upload the Following in GradCAS
- Transcripts
- Two References
- Contact information for two people who can speak to your ability to work with PreK–12 students. They will be emailed a form to fill out.
- Résumé, which should include:
- Employment history
- Licenses or certifications
- Experience with school-age children or youth
- Education background
- Teaching License (if applicable)
- TSPC Character Questionnaire
- Required for all applicants.
- English Language Proficiency
- A satisfactory command of the English language is required. Applies to all non-native English speakers, including U.S. permanent residents and citizens. See the School of Learning & Teaching English Proficiency Requirement webpage for more information.
- Application Fee: $38 (non-refundable)
