Short-Term Guest Housing
Clark Hall was constructed in 1966 as a traditional Residence Hall for students. It is now used to accommodate individuals that will be on the Forest Grove or Hillsboro Campus for University academic business. This individual must also have a current Pacific employee sponsoring their request.
Students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs should contact Campus Living directly for their housing needs.
Short-Term Guest Housing is currently not accepting reservations for large groups, cohorts or programmatic stays.

- Included Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, access to shared microwave and refrigerator and a cooling station located on the 3rd floor.
- Fans: small fans are available by advance request (limited availability)
Guidelines
- Minimum Stay: Short-term housing guest housing requires a minimum stay of 3 nights
- Agreement: Guests must review and sign the Short-Term Guest Housing Agreement prior to confirmation of a reservation.
- University Closures: Short-term housing is unavailable when the university is closed (e.g., during Winter Break)
- Chaperones: Where applicable for any approved small group bookings, chaperones may be required to stay with guests at their own expense.
Building Expectations
Clark Hall offers a convenient, budget-friendly on-campus option. Because the building retains its original 1966 infrastructure, it does not feature central air conditioning and offers a traditional, vintage dormitory experience. If you or your guest require modern amenities, private bathrooms, or air conditioning, local off-campus hotels may be a better option.
Reservations & Inquiries
To request a reservation or ask questions regarding short-term guest housing, please submit a ticket through our service portal.

The purpose of a Sponsor and/or Chaperone is to ensure that guests staying in short-term guest housing have a resource and a point of contact for assistance during their stay. Depending on several factors, a chaperone may be required by our office. The chaperone's housing and/or meal cost would be at the group's expense. Please review the Sponsor/ Chaperone Expectations for more information.
Emergency Housing
Emergency Housing is intended for Pacific University commuter students or employees that need a place to stay for 1-2 nights due to a serious and unexpected situation requiring immediate relocation while coordinating another housing solution. If an eligible guest determines they need to stay longer than 1-2 nights, they may apply for short-term guest housing (students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs should contact Campus Living directly for their housing needs).
For urgent needs, we aim to get guest(s) checked into their rooms within 24 hours of a ticket being submitted. However, we do not work on evenings or weekends, so we would need to be notified by Campus Public Safety to assist you in a timely manner.
Room Costs
The cost of emergency housing is $45.00 per person/per night (includes linen). Depending on the situation, some insurances will reimburse you for lodging costs. Talk with your provider to see if you may qualify for a reimbursement.
Please do not submit an emergency housing request until you are positive you will be checking-in, as the room rate will begin. As soon as you have made a decision, please submit a ticket.
