Media Relations

The Office of Marketing & Communications is the official university liaison for news media. We direct institutional PR strategy, manage official university statements, and proactively pitch faculty research, student achievements, and university news to local, regional and national news outlets. We also provide media training for faculty and staff subject matter experts.

The university events team joins Marketing & Communications in 2026-2027. We are building a new strategic framework for campus events to elevate brand impact.

Design, Storytelling & Major Publications

We bring the Pacific story to life through high-impact visual design, compelling storytelling, and rich multimedia production. MarCom directly produces institutional stories and creative assets — including Pacific magazine, recruitment materials, high-level photography, and university videos — to build brand affinity and drive engagement. We also equip campus partners with design templates, photography and video assets, and brand guidance to tell their own local stories with impact.

Institutional Messaging

We manage the university’s official voice, govern centralized communications, and provide messaging frameworks for internal and external audiences. MarCom oversees mass communications directed to all-student, all-employee, alumni, donor and family audiences to ensure privacy compliance, protect digital reputation, and maintain messaging alignment.
