Q.  What is your educational background?

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Oregon.

Q.  What inspired you to pursue a career in pharmacy?

My inspiration to pursue a career in pharmacy comes from seeing it as the essential bridge between complex science and compassionate patient care. I’ve been drawn to the pharmacist’s wide-reaching role in the healthcare system, serving as an accessible expert who helps translate clinical knowledge into improved health outcomes. This profession’s unique balance of patient interaction, clinical expertise, and problem-solving aligns with my passion for contributing directly to people’s well-being. To me, pharmacy is more than managing medications; it’s about ensuring every treatment is safe, effective, and centered around the unique needs of each patient.

Q.  Why did you choose Pacific University School of Pharmacy?

One of the primary reasons I chose Pacific University is the exceptional support from the professors and staff, who go beyond traditional instruction to treat every student like family. This sense of community creates an environment where I feel genuinely seen and supported, both academically and personally. The faculty’s dedication to mentorship and their "student-first" approach transformed my perspective on the program. Knowing I have a network of experts who are truly invested in my success solidified my decision to pursue my pharmacy journey at Pacific University.

Q.  What has been your favorite experience so far as a pharmacy student?

My favorite part of pharmacy school so far has been building new friendships and getting to know the professors with impressive backgrounds in pharmacy and research.

Q.  What do you enjoy doing outside of pharmacy school?

Spending time with my wife and kids, exploring new place to eat, and playing golf and basketball with friends.

Q.  What advice would you give to prospective or incoming pharmacy students?

My advice to incoming students is to always ask questions and never hesitate to seek help. Pharmacy school is a rigorous journey, and no one is expected to navigate it alone;  your greatest strength lies in utilizing the support systems and mentorship available to you.

Q.  Looking ahead, what career goals or interests are you considering after graduation?

My goal is to secure a residency program specializing in either Cardiology or Emergency Medicine.
