A passion for Pacific earns four new members a place in the President's Circle, honoring the university's $100,000 lifetime donors.

At their 30th class reunion in 2003, his classmates honored his efforts by unveiling the Mad Dog Scholarship Fund. The fund reached the endowment level in 2009 and offered its first scholarship to an optometry student in 2010.

The Pacific difference spans generations. Kres Pedersen '79, OD '82 and his daughter Amy (Pedersen) Park '08, OD '11 both found personal connections and meaningful careers through Pacific's undergraduate and graduate programs.

The Humphreys put the ‘family’ in Family Eye Care

Dr. Bleything is a former College of Optometry dean and professor and also served as the university provost.

A 29-year career culminating in the Office of the Surgeon General started with optometry school at Pacific. “Pacific was, and still is, a small school where, instead of being a number, you can become an individual," said Col. John Pyle OD '64. "I had a really good time there.”

Alumni Jim and Mary Fair Berglund are among Pacific’s most generous supporters, and daughter Julie Berglund Baker is following their lead.

Named in honor of the late Dr. Massih, the award recognizes a Pacific graduate who has served the optometric profession with distinction.

Dori Carlson OD '89 has been named the third recipient of the Kamelia Massih Prize for a Distinguished Optometrist. She received the award May 18, 2013, at Pacific University's graduate Commencement ceremony.

The Spirit Mountain Community Fund in Oregon has awarded Pacific University's EyeClinic Cornelius a capital grant of $30,000 to help build out a new clinic within the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center's new Wellness Center in Cornelius.
