Online Communication Sciences & Disorders Post-Bacc.

Body

The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers a post-baccalaureate "post-bac" sequence of courses for students with a degree in another discipline to prepare for application to graduate programs in speech-language pathology and audiology.

The post-baccalaureate program in communication sciences and disorders is a non-degree program. The course sequence provides an in-depth study of normal speech, language and hearing processes, and a background orientation to disorders of communication.

The post-baccalaureate sequence of courses includes 29 semester hours of coursework that fulfill prerequisite requirements for application to Pacific University’s Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and those required by many other graduate programs in audiology and speech-language pathology.

“Pacific is the place to be if you want a quality, student-centered education that is delivered by top-notch professors with real-world experience and lots of passion to bring to the table.”

As a school, we value advocacy, community, equity, compassion, integration, critical inquiry, and lived experiences. These values are visible throughout the curriculum across all our programs.

Students in all programs have the opportunity to work closely with our exceptionally talented faculty in a carefully designed and innovative curriculum.

The School of CSD faculty advance the field of speech-language pathology through our research and scholarship in theoretical and clinical science, through the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL), and our engagement in partnerships that serve individuals with communication disorders throughout the greater Portland areas. Our faculty are engaged as leaders in local, regional, and national professional organizations.
