Teaching & English Language Learning
Become a teacher, leader and advocate for students with a bachelor of education from Pacific University.
The BEd in Teaching & English Language Learning is a 2+2 program designed in partnership with local community colleges. Start your college experience at Lane, Chemeketa or another community college. Students with at least 75 percent of their required community college courses complete can be admitted into the two-year BEd program at Pacific. Continue your coursework at your community college while enrolled as a full-time Pacific student in Eugene or Woodburn, working toward your Oregon P-12 teaching license with elementary or content area endorsements, as well as an ESOL specialty endorsement.
The BEd program prepares students to become culturally proficient teachers, leaders and advocates for children and families. Enjoy mentorships and assistance, starting with the creation of your guided pathway during community college, through the Pacific application process, and into your first years as a teacher.
Learn to teach by teaching — our students are part of their school communities from the first semester, engaging in learning and teaching alongside highly trained teachers in local school districts.
