Jing Ting “Tina” Gan ’21: School of Dental Hygiene Studies Outstanding Graduate Award

Jing Ting “Tina” Gan ’21 received the Pacific University Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate Award in the School of Dental Hygiene Studies. 

“Tina is a very strong and passionate student within the School of Dental Hygiene Studies,” her professors wrote. “She continuously demonstrates the mission of the university and the program through her commitment to providing quality care to underserved populations.”

Gan, of Hilo, Hawai‘i, served as a peer tutor with the school and earned her bachelor of science in dental hygiene, or BSDH, from Pacific University in August 2021. 

The School of Dental Hygiene Studies offers a two-year bachelor’s degree that prepares future dental hygienists with a particular focus on interprofessional care and public health service.
