When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Jessie Wachter ’03 suddenly found herself without a job for the first time in nearly two decades. She has used this break in her career to launch a small business. 
The Physical Therapy Program is sponsoring two students and one recent alumna in the American Physical Therapy Association - Centennial Scholars Program.  The purpose of year long program is to “build to build a cadre of future association leaders at both the local and national levels.” 
This year our American Physical Therapy Association - National Conference (Combined Sections Meeting) will be held virtually for the first time during the month of February.  Pacific University is well represented at CSM 2021.
Physical Therapy program's Dr. Kimberly Malin recently collaborated with Drs. Kevin Chui and Sheng-Che Yen (Northeastern University) as issue editors and contributing authors for Topics in Geriatric Rehabilitation. The focus of this issue is Power Training in older adults

Pacific remains No. 1 for research among private universities in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest, according to the National Science Foundation. The university also moved up to No. 8 in the Far West region, ranking among peers like Stanford and the University of Southern California.
