Welcome to United States History through the Black/African American Experience: A Journey of Understanding, Discovery, and Connection
Welcome, Pacific University community. For the last four weeks, we invited you on a journey to better understand the history of the United States through Black/African American experiences. Our history, the history of the United States, is told through the stories, the innovations, the genius and necessary resilience, the determination, and the grit that reshaped our society into a more perfect union and continues to impact the world we live in today. From the laboratories to the concert halls, from the voting booths to the space program, Black/African American excellence has been one of the driving forces of American progress. And that story?
