Join Pacific's Subject Matter Expert Directory

Pacific University faculty and staff hold a wealth of knowledge and experience. Would you like a way to expand the reach of your expertise outside of the classroom? If so, we invite you to join the university’s Subject Matter Experts directory.

Subject Matter Experts are faculty and staff members who have a wide breadth of knowledge on a topic or field, and are willing to use their expertise to provide trustworthy information to media members for a story.

While the media reaches out to Pacific to find a Subject Matter Expert, we also proactively offer experts with knowledge on a current event or topic in the news. You can check out our current list of experts on our online database.

Subject Matter Experts are welcome on any topic, but we are specifically interested in experts willing to speak on the following topics:

• Healthcare (general topics & specific to your field)
• The environment and climate change
• Education (both K-12 and higher education)
• Social Media
• Artificial Intelligence
• Mental Health (child, youth and adult)
• Economic Issues (including tariffs)
• Topics relevant to local, regional and national government
