Pacific University’s 3rd Annual Spirit of Civic Engagement Summit will take place on Saturday, March 7. The 2026 theme is Cultivating Hope: Nurturing the Possibility of a Better “We” and the event will feature three unique tracks: Collective Imagination, Radical Empathy, and Practical Peace. Attendees can choose to follow a track or mix-and-match sessions.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided. RSVP today for the best opportunity to attend, as this event regularly reaches full capacity and can no longer accept RSVPs.

What to Expect:

The Spirit of Civic Engagement Summit is an annual half-day gathering on the Forest Grove campus. We welcome a select group of students, faculty, staff, and community partners to explore a topical civic engagement theme alongside amazing speakers and workshop facilitators.

This year’s sessions will include a wide range of opportunities to choose from – including building your own personal board game, interacting with a short film produced by Pacific students and faculty, a calisthenic exercise session with a purpose, and learning directly from an ordained Zen priest!

The 2026 program will run from 10:00am – 1:30pm with optional breakfast available for the half hour proceeding (ie. 9:30am-10:00am). Every attendee will attend 1-2 workshops and then join a whole group gathering for a lunch designed to nourish our bodies and our relationships.
