New Standard Dental Plan Reminders

Body

The Standard Dental plan allows for out-of-network care. If you do not see the dental office you are currently at, or wanting to go to, on the Standard Dental Provider Search, this does not mean you cannot go there. You just need to call that dental office and ask if they accept The Standard Dental insurance. They will let you know if they do, and may let you know that they are considered out-of-network.

Plan participants are free to receive care from any dentist they choose. Out-of-pocket expenses are generally lower when using network providers, who have agreed to provide dental care at discounted fees. Plan participants who receive care with a non-network dentist are reimbursed based on the 90th percentile of the Usual & Customary Rate. (Means 9 out of 10 dentists in a specific ZIP Code area charge at or below the plan allowance for a procedure.)
