Pacific Opportunity Hub - Fall Events & Friday Closure Notice:
The Pacific Opportunity Hub hours, closures, and services for Fall 2026 are below. Please note the Hub offices will be closed on Fridays this Fall for organizational development, with the exception of 11/6, date of the undergraduate course withdrawal deadline and Hub Open House.
The new Pacific Opportunity Hub has been created with the goal of empowering every Pacific student—regardless of background—with the guidance and hands-on experience needed for a meaningful career, a purpose-driven life, and a thriving future. The Hub offers services such as academic advising, career coaching / job search assistance, and support for experiential learning (including internships, civic engagement, and study abroad/study away) alongside strategic partnership development and employer relations. Please bear with us during Friday closures this fall so we can build the Opportunity Hub Pacific students deserve.

- Please call the main Opportunity Hub office line at 503-352-2800 for assistance with urgent and time-sensitive issues during office closures; leave a message if needed and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

Open Drop-In Advising & Coaching Hours:
Monday-Thursday 10:00 AM-1:00 PM
What to expect during drop-in advising and coaching times:
- Access to snacks
- Staff available on a first-come, first-served basis for quick support and resources
- If a longer discussion is required, students may be redirected to make an appointment after intake
- Additional staff available during Add/Drop, Registration and Withdrawal dates
- Examples of issues typically handled in drop-in times
- Adding/dropping courses
- Core requirement clarifications
- How to declare a major
Standard Staff Hours:
Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
What to expect during open office hours:
- Access to snacks
- Staff in student appointments and/or working on projects
- Help making an appointment, finding forms or resources, supporting figuring out who can help
- Examples of issues typically handled in appointments:
- Academic planning
- Career planning
- Internship / practicum support
- Changing majors
- Study abroad / study away planning
Special Events & Closures, Fall 2026
- Office closed on Fridays for Opportunity Hub development during Fall 2026 (except for Withdrawal deadline, 11/6)
- Office closed Mondays 3:00-4:30 for staff meetings
- Office closed Friday 9/25 3:00-5:00 PM for State of the University
- Office closed Wednesday 10/28 9:00-10:30 AM for quarterly university All-Staff meeting
- Office closed Wednesday 11/11 (Veterans Day, University closure)
- No drop-ins 2nd Thursdays of each month 11:30-1:00 due to school meetings (10/8, 11/12)
- No drop-ins, service by appointment only
- Thanksgiving week (11/23-25)
- After exam period has closed (12/17-12/22)
