We’re excited to invite you to this year's CETCI Spring Learning Community: Exploring a Pedagogy of Kindness! The first session will be held on Tuesday, March 31, from 3:30 to 5:00 in the Tran Library and online over zoom. Read on for a description of the learning community and a schedule of sessions.
We’re thrilled to launch a new luncheon series with the Student Multicultural Center that brings culture to the table in the most delicious way. Students will visit local restaurants to enjoy authentic meals while hearing from a featured speaker about the rich traditions, history, and cultural significance behind each dish, turning lunch into an immersive cultural experience you won’t want to miss!

Join students from the McCall Center for Civic Engagement and English Language Institute (on short term exchange from Japan!) for an afternoon Walk & Clean on Tuesday, March 10th. Along the way we will visit nearby favorites like La Panadera Bakery, Rogers Park, and Telvet Coffee - bring cash or card if you want to enjoy a concha or bubble tea as we go, all other supplies will be provided. "Be Sensitive, Be Brave for Mental Health" infuses culture and diversity throughout a foundational workshop on mental health. This free workshop prepares community members to help friends and loved ones during times of distress. Learn how to recognize mental health conditions, what to do when someone needs support, and tools for maintaining good mental health.
