The Myth of Black Anti-Intellectualism

On Friday, June 18, Kevin Cokley from the University of Texas at Austin will talk about the myth of black anti-intellectualism in honor of Juneteenth. It will be a virtual event via Zoom, and the passcode is Juneteenth. 

Also presenting on this day at 1 p.m. is Paris Lawrence from the University of Georgia and Warren Wright from Sam Houston State University. After that, at 3 p.m., Pacific invites everyone to a virtual cookout with Bon Appetit, complete with trivia and songs. 

In observance of Juneteenth, no SGP classes will be held Friday, June 18, but SGP offices will remain open. Also the Pacific Psychology and Comprehensive Health Clinic will be closed on Saturday, June 19 in honor of the holiday.
