When They See Us: Experiences of Black Males Navigating Historically White Institutions
On Friday, June 18, Paris Lawrence from the University of Georgia, and Warren Wright from Sam Houston State University will be speaking on their experiences as black males navigating historically white institutions in honor of Juneteenth. This is a virtual event via Zoom, and the passcode is Juneteenth.
Also presenting on this day at 10 a.m. is Kevin Cokley from the University of Texas at Austin. After that, at 3 p.m., Pacific invites everyone to a virtual cookout with Bon Appetit, complete with trivia and songs.
In observance of Juneteenth, no SGP classes will be held Friday, June 18, but SGP offices will remain open. Also the Pacific Psychology and Comprehensive Health Clinic will be closed on Saturday, June 19 in honor of the holiday.
