Program Description

TAG Specialization  
For licensed teachers, home school providers, parents, paraprofessionals or other individuals seeking to obtain a TAG Specialization as part of their continuing education. 

Admissions Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
    • From an accredited college or university.
  • GPA
    • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75, or 3.0 in at least eight semester hours of graduate study.
  • Completed GradCAS Application
    • Your online application will include transcripts, two references, a résumé, and a TSPC character questionnaire.

How to Apply

Step 1: Create a GradCAS Account  

Pacific University uses the GradCAS online system to process TAG Specialization applications. Be sure to select the correct application link based on your intended start.  

Thank you for your interest! The application for the current cycle is now closed. Please check back this fall or winter, when we'll post updated application links and information for the 2027–2028 admission cycle. We look forward to connecting with you and hope to see your application next year!

Step 2: Prepare and Upload the Following in GradCAS

  • Transcripts
    • Official transcripts ordered and sent to GradCAS from the college(s) or university(ies) where you earned your degree(s), including your bachelor's degree and, if applicable, your master's degree.
    • For international coursework, a course-by-course evaluation is required through WES or ECE.
    • Evaluations must be sent to GradCAS by the application deadline.
  • Two References
    • Contact information for two people who can speak to your ability to work with PreK–12 students.  They will be emailed a form to fill out.  
  • Résumé, which should include:
    • Employment history
    • Licenses or certifications
    • Experience with school-age children or youth
    • Education background
  • Teaching License (if applicable)
  • TSPC Character Questionnaire
    • Required for all applicants.
  • English Language Proficiency
  • Application Fee: $38 (non-refundable)
