Why I chose PT: I wanted to make a positive impact on people’s lives and found this to be a rewarding career for that. It is a career that gets people up and active, pushing others to be the best that they can be mentally and physically. It was also a big help that I grew up next to my father who is a physical therapist.

Reflections after graduating: Being out of school and practicing in a clinic has given me a greater appreciation for the career. I am now working and making an impact on even more people. Pacific helps give you the background, the knowledge and the confidence to be an independent practicing clinician, so that you can enjoy a career of helping others maximize their human potential.

Why I chose PT: I chose to become a physical therapist after going through my own rehab after ACL surgery and later watching my mom recover from a major accident with the help of PTs in multiple settings - acute care, home health, and outpatient. It is a rewarding career assisting patients in regaining function, whether that is learning to walk again, returning to work, returning to sport... we have a significant impact on peoples' lives!

Reflections after graduating: The program at Pacific gave me the tools to enter my career with confidence to be successful in the clinic. I continue to go back to the resources I was provided with at Pacific, when I run into an unusual case. I always enjoy hearing and sharing work experiences with my classmates, who became my good friends while in the program. While I will always be learning something new, Pacific gave me a great foundation to grow on in my career!

Why I chose PT: I chose physical therapy because I knew that it would be a fun and rewarding career that would allow me to interact with so many different people while helping them get back to what they were doing before their injury. We have such great opportunities in this profession to help people accomplish their goals and have a positive impact on their lives.

Reflections after graduating: Life after graduation has been awesome and challenging in all of the best ways. I'm continuing to learn how to be an effective therapist to a diverse population and I love treating my own patients. Pacific provided me with a solid education and the skills necessary to provide confident, patient-centered care, as well as a group of lifelong friends that I continue to keep in touch with after graduating.
