Have a friend who might like some time in front of a light therapy lamp? Feeling some winter blues?

The Student Counseling Center is offering two opportunities to visit the brand new Vanders Nook, get cozy, and explore coping with winter weather. Changes in the weather and light can have a notable impact on mental health, so the SCC in encouraging you to visit this comfy cave to explore Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.) and learn about ways to manage its impacts.

We are excited to invite you to the next session of the CETCI After-Hours Pedagogy Series. On Wednesday, February 18th, from 5-6 pm, Criminal Justice, Law, & Society professor Aimee Wodda will be speaking about how she combines technology and community to create authentic, engaging learning experiences for her students. Join staff from the Student Counseling Center and be trained in Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR), a nationally recognized suicide prevention training. This empirically-validated training will equip you to recognize the warning signs, clues, and suicidal communication of people at risk as well as gain the skills to act and help save a life.
