Marketing & Communications supports student recruitment and retention, alumni and donor engagement, and community engagement and brand recognition through a variety of channels and strategies. We are available to support Pacific University employees and students with a variety of projects, and we also can offer strategy, support and resources for additional communication efforts.
As of November 2021, we have moved our project request system to the Pacific University Services Portal at services.pacificu.edu. Please visit the Services Portal and log in with your PUNetID to access request forms for the following activities. You can also track and update your requests and communicate with MarCom team members directly through this portal!
Marketing & Communications manages the pacificu.edu website. Anyone with a PUNetID can submit news or calendar events for the website via this process. Trained web editors have access to add and update a variety of other parts of the website. Web editors and others may request publication of a new page, deletion of a page, or a content update on an existing page, as well as assistance in strategizing content, navigation and search engine optimization of a section of the website. MarCom also manages mass email communications to students, employees, alumni and donors. Mass emails are governed by the mass communication policy and are carefully scheduled for consistent and effective engagement of our constituents. Please plan well in advance to allow for scheduling of your email campaign.
MarCom publishes weekly e-newsletters for undergraduate Forest Grove students, graduate and professional students, and employees. Submit information by noon Tuesday for potential inclusion in the Thursday e-newsletters.
Event Promotion Request
Marketing & Communications manages promotion of university signature events, such as Commencement, but also supports promotion of campus events. We can provide ticketing and registration forms, web content, media outreach, print materials and more to promote your event. Learn More
Social Media Request
Marketing & Communications manages the primary Pacific University accounts for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. All unit/program-specific accounts used for Pacific University purposes must be approved by MarCom. Learn More
Storytelling is at the heart of effective marketing and communications efforts. Share a news tip, become a faculty expert, or help us identify compelling Pacific people and programs whose stories advance Pacific’s mission.
Marketing & Communications’ multimedia work focuses on storytelling. We manage a shared photo library, offer guidance on photography and videography, and create photos and videos that support student recruitment and retention, alumni and donor engagement, and community outreach. Learn More
Marketing & Design Request
Marketing & Communications’ creative and design teams maintain a strong visual and messaging identity for Pacific University. Our focus is on materials that reach external audiences, such as advertising and marketing materials for student recruitment, brand awareness and signature university events. However, we also provide guidance and templates for internal marketing pieces as well. Options may include print publications, signage, branded product and more.
