Brandon Hertz '21: Significant Contributions to the Center for Gender Equity Award

HertzBrandon Hertz ’21 has been named Pacific University’s Outstanding Senior in Philosophy and was honored for with the Significant Contributions to the Center for Gender Equity Award.

Hertz, from Eugene, Ore., graduated in May 2021 after majoring in philosophy.

Hertz was chosen for the philosophy award, because “his writing skills are excellent, as are his debate and discussion skills,” his professors said. “Brandon has shown a significant commitment to academic leadership, and been chosen to serve as the assistant director for the Undergraduate Philosophy Conference this year.”

At the Center for Gender Equity, Hertz was “an outstanding mentor” with a “steady presence.”

Throughout his time at Pacific, Hertz also was a member of the Boxer men’s wrestling team.

Fellow graduates Cal McCarthy ’21 and Seema Khatcherian ’21 also were honored for contributions to the Center for Gender Equity.
