We are keenly aware that members of LGBTQIA communities continue to face many barriers and injustices in our society. During this month, we acknowledge the turbulent history of the LGBTQIA+ civil rights movement, while also celebrating the courage, strength and resilience of those communities in the midst of adversity and in the pursuit of equality. Throughout Pride Month, and all year, Pacific University stands in support of LGBTQIA+ communities and is committed to continuing to foster a more inclusive culture of equity on our campuses and in our world.
In an effort to help limit the spread of the COVID-19, the Center for Gender Equity will not be hosting large events or programs. This can be a challenging time, and we encourage you to reach out to the following support resources at the Support at Pacific page.

Center for Gender Equity
The mission of the Center for Gender Equity is to promote equity around gender and sexuality, for Pacific students and the surrounding communities, through support services, education, and activism.
We provide support services and a sense of connection and belonging to Pacific students, focusing specifically, but not exclusively, on issues of sex and gender.
We provide educational programming to the campus and wider community on issues related to gender equity.
We strive to dismantle the systems of oppression that perpetuate gender inequity through coalition building and collective action.
The Center for Gender Equity (CGE) is open to everyone on Pacific University’s campuses and in the community, regardless of gender. We seek opportunities to cooperate with any group, as long as that collaboration furthers the mission of CGE.
Seema Khatcherian ’21 has received awards from Pacific University for outstanding contributions to student life and for significant contributions to the Center for Gender Equity.
