Celebrate August Commencement with Pacific University

Graduates at August Commencement 2018Pacific University hosts its August Commencement ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 10, on the Forest Grove Campus. The ceremony celebrates the graduation of about 316 students in the university’s College of Health Professions, as they earn bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical and professional fields.

Ceremony Details

The ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. on the Marsh Hall East Lawn. Commencement is open to the public, and no tickets are required. Degree presentations will include:

Doctor of Audiology

School of Dental Hygiene Studies
Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene

School of Graduate Psychology
Master of Arts/Science in Applied Psychological Science
Master of Arts/Science in Clinical Psychology
Doctor of Psychology
Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology

School of Healthcare Administration & Leadership
Bachelor of Health Science
Master of Healthcare Administration

School of Occupational Therapy
Doctor of Occupational Therapy

School of Physician Assistant Studies
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies

(Other schools in the College of Health Professions include the School of Pharmacy and the School of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training, which each present degrees at Pacific’s May Commencement exercises.)

Ceremonies are held on the Marsh Hall East Lawn on the Forest Grove Campus. Campus parking lots are open with no permits needed. Getting Around

Seating opens about one hour before the ceremony and is on a first-come, first-served basis. No tickets are required. Seating Information

Accessible seating is available. Accessible parking and campus shuttles also are available throughout the day. Accessibility Information

The ceremonies are held outdoors, rain or shine. Most seats are shaded by the oak trees overhead, but there is no cover over the ceremony. Guests are advised to check the weather and dress accordingly. Weather Information

The ceremony is streamed live, with captions, online at pacificu.edu/tv for those who cannot attend in person or who would like to watch from elsewhere on campus, or who need closed captioning. The ceremony also will be available on Facebook Live.

Starbucks and the Bookstore in the University Center will both be open for the day.
