Physical Therapy core faculty member Dr. Rebecca Reisch and adjunct faculty member Dr. Talina Corvus recently published an article in GeriNotes, the quarterly member magazine for the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy.  Their article, “Development of an International Geriatric-focused Clinical Experience,” was published as a report from the Global Health for Aging Adults SIG and discusses a partnership between a local not-for-profit organization, the Jessie F. Richardson Foundation, and Pacific University.
wo second year physical therapy students, Ellen Key (’20) and Sam Nicholas (’20), volunteered for a recent Adaptive Bike Clinic for individuals of all ages with disabilities that was hosted by Adaptive Sports Northwest.
Dr. Kevin Chui contributed to three chapters in the 9th edition of Health Promotion Throughout the Life Span, a leading textbook on health promotion and disease prevention in healthcare education curriculum.
Physical Therapy students Jaylen Wilson (’20) and Ellen Key (’20) serve the Student Leadership Committee for the Oregon Physical Therapy Association.
Physical Therapy Professor Dr. Robert Nee recently published a study titled “Protective myoelectric activity at performing upper limb neurodynamic test 1 in breast cancer survivors.
Physical Therapy Professor Tzurei Chen recently disseminated two of her research projects. Her studies focus on identifying underlying modifiable risk factors for falls in older adults to enhance early intervention.

Dr. Stacy Wong
Dr. Stacy Wong, PT, DPT, PCS will join the Physical Therapy Program as a part-time faculty. In her primary role as Assistant Director of Clinical Education, she will work with others on managing the clinical education portion of our curriculum.
Touch Future Hawai'i Students
Five of our physical therapy students from Hawai’i volunteered for the Touch the Future Hawai’i project. As young students in middle school and high school, many of our graduate students from Hawai’i did not have the opportunity to learn about the broad array of healthcare professions until later in life.
