A surge in students pursuing music degrees at Pacific University over the past decade is expected to continue this fall.
The Pacific University String Project has been awarded the 2018 Outstanding String Project of the Year Award by the American String Teachers Association and the National String Project Consortium.
The project, funded by a Faith Gabelnick grant, concluded with a joint concert on April 24.
Tuesday night's performance of The Little Match Girl will share the importance of compassion toward others and is appropriate for children. Admission is free.
