Pacific Fits Your Life

The bachelor of education (BEd) hybrid program is designed for community college transfer students, instructional assistants, educational assistants, and other classified staff, working in PK-12 schools. Most students work throughout the entire course of study and appreciate a program that caters to their life circumstances by providing a flexible evening and weekend course schedule. The BEd program features small classes and our dedicated faculty and staff focus on creating community and a sense of belonging from the start.

Join a School Community

Pacific students develop deep connections with the teachers and administrators in the districts in their communities. Pacific’s hybrid bachelor of education programs include approximately 1,500 in-person hours of experience observing, assisting, and teaching in public school classrooms in Oregon. Our students work closely with classroom teachers, learning how to organize classrooms, take multiple approaches to classroom management, use innovative teaching strategies, and focus on bilingual students.

Become a Dynamic Teacher

In Pacific BEd classes, students learn by doing. We question, role-play, experiment, ponder, connect, compare ... instructors model “best practices.” Classes are connected and integrated with all classroom field experiences in Oregon. Our classes transform students into teachers.

Build Deep Relationships

At Pacific, we believe that quality relationships are at the heart of all good learning. “One thing I really appreciate about Pacific is the faculty,” a graduate says, “They really do care about you.”

Honor the Languages of Your Community

Pacific integrates the knowledge and skills necessary to earn an English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement into every class.
