The McCall Center for Civic Engagement at Pacific University is looking for workshop facilitators to participate in our annual Spirit of Civic Engagement Summit, scheduled for Saturday March 15, 2025. The theme is Civic Engagement in Polarizing Times and the audience will be a select group of students, faculty/staff, and community partners engaged in service and activism in our community.

Body

As travel begins during the winter break, your safety is our utmost concern. The university wants to remind those who do not carry a valid U.S. passport to be cognizant of potential changes to the immigration landscape in the United States. We want every member of our community to be informed and feel safe this winter break season. Please find additional information in your email, dated Dec. 11, 2024.

Join staff from the Student Counseling Center and be trained in Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR), a national recognized suicide prevention training.  This empirically-validated training will equip you to recognize the warning signs, clues, and suicidal communication of people at risk as well as gain the skills to act and help save a life.

Join Student Counseling Center staff for a crafting pop-up!  From Noon to 1PM in the UC Lounge, we'll have all the supplies needed to create your own unique washi tape journal cover! Combine unique washi tapes, origami paper and journals supplied by the SCC to create your own journal design.
