2026 New Student Orientation Fall Schedule

We’re excited to share the Fall Orientation schedule — filled with essential events designed to help you settle into campus life, connect with your peers, and kick off a successful academic year.

Orientation is required for all new and transfer undergraduate students. From welcomes by university leaders and academic overviews to small-group sessions with Orientation Leaders and social activities, this program is your launchpad into the Pacific community.

Please use this preview to help map out your Orientation experience. Please note that this schedule is tentative and subject to minor adjustments. 

Note, there is no need to print: You and your family will receive printed copies of the finalized schedule during check-in.

First-Year Students

  • 8:00 a.m. Check-In & Move-In, Marsh West Lawn (Residential) Required
  • 9:30 a.m. Check-In, Marsh West Lawn (Required for Non-Residential) 
  • 10:25 a.m. Procession to Convocation begins, Marsh East Lawn (Students & families should be seated)
  • 10:30 – 11 a.m. Convocation, Marsh East Lawn. Required
  • 11 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. Welcome Brunch, Quad 
  • 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. Campus Tea Time with your Orientation Leaders (OLs), Marsh West Lawn, Required
  • 1:15 – 1:45 p.m. Campus Living Success Session
    • Residential: Campus Living Success, Taylor Meade Required for Residential Students
    • Commuter & Non-Residential Students: Commuter Student Success, Marsh Hall, Taylor Auditorium Required for Commuter Students
  • 2 – 3:05 p.m. First-Year Communities - Assigned FYC Room. Required
  • 3:15 – 4 p.m. First-Year Advising - Details to come. Required
  • 4 – 5:30 p.m. Emergency Academic & Career Advising (15 Minute Sessions) - Details to come
  • 4 – 5 p.m. Sign, Shake & Ring, Old College Hall
  • 4 – 5:30 p.m. Closing Time: A Family Farewell Dessert Reception - Marsh West Lawn. This concludes the family portion of Orientation. 
  • 5 - 7 p.m. Student Dinner & Trivia, University Center (UC) 
  • 7 p.m. Big Fun Happenings:
    • 7 p.m. Red & Black Scrimmage, Hanson Stadium
    • 8 p.m. Hall Hangouts, Residence Halls

Transfer Students

  • 8:30 – 9:45 a.m. Breakfast with Orientation Groups - Details to come. Students will be assigned start times by orientation groups. Start your day with breakfast and your Orientation group before breaking into smaller groups for rotating sessions focused on academic success at Pacific. Required
  • 9:15 – 11:30 a.m. Navigating Success: Essential Workshops for New Boxers - Students will be assigned start times by orientation groups. This mandatory program is designed to set you up for academic and personal success at Pacific University. Required
  • 11 – 12:30 p.m. Transfers Unite: Part 2 - Details to come. Required
  • 11 – 12:45 p.m. Tabling & Games, UC and UC Lawn
  • 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Brunch, UC
  • 1:15 – 3 p.m. Boxer Teambuilder - Playfair, Stoller Center. Required
