Mission

The Indigenous Student Alliance (ISA) is an inclusive community of members with tribal and nontribal affiliation (allies) coming together to share indigenous culture, explore identity, celebrate heritage, and strengthen indigenous representation at Pacific University and beyond.

Join Us!

Did you know that Native Americans make up only 1% of the student population in higher education nationally? Here at Pacific University, we need the support of students from every race and ethnicity. Please join ISA to learn about indigenous cultures, participate in traditional activities, and help host our annual powwow.

Membership in ISA is open to any student, staff, and faculty of Pacific University regardless of race, ethnicity, or heritage. To become a member, email indigenousstudentalliance@groups.pacificu.edu.

Community, Ceremony, and Action

Members of ISA meet weekly to socialize, craft (bead, sew, leatherwork), hike and forage, plan events, fundraise, collaborate with other clubs, and participate in community outreach. Each fall, we kick off the school year with a "Fry Bread Social," and every May we host an annual powwow. Everyone is invited to attend.
