Due to COVID-19 restrictions, May Commencement will be celebrated with a pre-recorded virtual ceremony released May 15. Prior to that, graduating students will be invited to small photo opportunities. Details are coming soon. Learn More
Graduation Checklist | May Commencement
Apply to Graduate
All students must apply for graduation. Apply through BoxerOnline by Jan. 15 to participate in the May ceremony.
Complete Your Degree Requirements
The Registrar’s Office reviews your degree requirements after you apply to graduate and contacts your program director if there are concerns. If you are currently taking courses at another institution to complete your degree, or if you have any questions about completing degree requirements, contact the Registrar’s Office at 503-352-2793 or email@example.com.
Order Your Regalia
Academic regalia is available for purchase online through the University Bookstore. Enter your program to find the right regalia for your program and degree — and order online to have regalia shipped to the location of your choice. For assistance with your order, please contact the University Bookstore at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 503-352-2224.
Student organizations may choose to recognize graduating seniors with special accessories to wear with their regalia, such as stoles or pins — but not cords. The only cords that may be worn with regalia are the official academic honor cords distributed by the University. If your organization is interested in stoles or pins, please contact the University Bookstore at email@example.com or at 503-352-2224 for assistance.

Plan Your Participation
You also can submit appropriate candid and group photos for possible inclusion in a slideshow during the virtual commencement.
All graduates will be included in the virtual commencement — with or without a photo. No registration is necessary to watch the virtual ceremony on YouTube starting May 15.
Update Your Address
We know this is a transition time for many students who make big moves following graduation — or not this year due to COVID-19. The place you live now may be different than where you will be in late May or early June, when diplomas are mailed. Be sure to give the Registrar’s Office your diploma mailing address via BoxerOnline. Diplomas will only be sent once and only to the provided diploma mailing address. Link
Settle Your Accounts
All student accounts must be paid in full before you graduate. If you anticipate an outstanding balance after you graduate, please contact the Business Office to make arrangement for payment. Students with outstanding balances after graduation cannot receive their diplomas or transcripts. Students who receive federal student loans also must complete exit interviews before graduating or leaving campus. The Financial Aid Office will contact you to set up an appointment.
