Current 2nd year athletic training students – Lauren Garcia (’19), Daisha Acorda (’19), Bri Dixon (’19), Kerry Dill (’19) and Samantha Boulanger (’19), were a part of the team that provided medical coverage for the 2019 Nike Hoop Summit.  The event was over 3 days, and included future collegiate and NBA players.
Current Athletic Training faculty members, Drs. Bates and Cook presented their research findings as a part of the NWATA Free Communications presentation during the 2019 NWATA District Conference in April. Dr. Jessica Moore was also an invited speaker at the conference.
During the 2019 NWATA District 10 Conference in Spokane, Washington, Megan Sarles, (’20) and Emry Wells (’20) gave oral presentations during the student forum. 
MFA Faculty Member Kwame Dawes was honored for his poetry by the judges of the prestigious Windham-Campbell Prizes. The award was announced in London during the week of the London Book Fair.
Abby Murray MFA ’09 was chosen by the Tacoma (Wash.) Arts Commission as the city’s Poet Laureate of 2019 to 2021.
Kathryn “Kitty” Jospé MFA ’09 was recently featured in The Ekphrastic Review, an online journal, for her poem “Where Do You Go?”
Angela Mart OT ’06 has worked at Wallowa Memorial Hospital in Enterprise, Ore., as an occupational therapist for the last three years.
Renee Reitmeier MAT ’00 is the owner of the newly opened Fika Sisters (Ore.) Coffeehouse, a café inspired by Swedish coffee culture.
Steve Paranto ’79, MST ’84 recently started podcast series Pickleball Talks with Steve Paranto.
