Lagrange points model
Following a grant from the Oregon National Space Grant Consortium, physics alumnus Huy Nguyen '21, along with Physics Professor Todd Duncan built a three-dimensional model showing the optimal orbit for spacecraft to "park" between the earth and moon. The model will be exhibited at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville.
Sports Marketing Entrepreneur Dr. Marc Williams
Marc Williams, a sports marketing pioneer and former senior executive for three of the largest sports brands in the world — Champs Sports, Reebok, and Footaction — has joined Pacific University’s College of Business as director of the newly created Center for Entrepreneurship, Sports and Entertainment.
Marketa Marvanova
Dr. Marvanova previously served as dean and professor of the Skaggs School of Pharmacy at the University of Montana. Between July 2020 and September 2021, she also served as acting dean of the College of Health, overseeing five other accredited health profession schools.

The National Science Foundation has awarded a three-year, $350,000 grant to Biology Professor Chris Templeton to further his study into the ways human-caused traffic noise affects birds' cognitive abilities.

Juneteenth Flag
The commemoration begins with a short ceremony at 2 p.m. Monday, June 13, at the flagpole at the intersection of College Way and 21st Avenue. Incoming President Jenny Coyle will offer a few remarks and light refreshments will be available as we raise the Juneteenth flag.
