Fall term plans will focus on flexibility for students, safety

Football, soccer, rowing and volleyball will be postponed. Cross country, golf and tennis will be permitted to play this fall. “We are committed to supporting our student-athletes and their experience through these challenging times,” said Pacific University Athletic Director Keith Buckley. “Our coaches and staff continue to work diligently in developing a plan to provide our student-athletes a safe and valuable experience both this fall, as well as into the winter/spring competition schedules.”

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, commemorates the day, in 1865, that the last slaves in America were legally freed from bondage, two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation.
