Women of the South African Math Workshop
Pacific University Professor Nancy Neudauer recently returned from South Africa, where she organized and administered an African Institute for Mathematical Sciences workshop titled “Women in Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications.”
Six members of the Pacific University faculty were granted indefinite tenure in March, after approval from the Board of Trustees. Among them are three exercise science faculty members in the College of Arts & Sciences, as well as three faculty members in the College of Health Professions.
The series is an offering through Pacific's membership in the Scholars at Risk Network, which provides a platform for scholars who have been displaced by war and political persecution.
