If you are taking photos or videos at Pacific, please be sure that you respect the privacy and rights of your subjects. Inform individuals of the purpose of the images and provide your contact information for follow-up questions. You also should be sure to obtain a media release from those in your photo or video. Use of Patient Images
If photos or videos take place in university clinics or otherwise involve patient care, the HIPAA release must be used instead. HIPAA regulations apply in many settings, including when there is an electronic transaction or when there is a referral to another provider (such as at a free patient care event). Use of Student Images
The Office of Marketing and Communications makes every effort to respect students’ decisions around their own representation. If you have concerns about appearing in marketing materials or you wish to have your image removed from a specific location, please contact our office.
