New Student Advising & Registration Days
Transfer Students (graduated in 2021 or earlier)
New transfer students will meet over Zoom or phone with an advisor 1-on-1 in June to register for classes. Admissions and the Registrar's Office is hard at work processing your college transcripts. Please make sure to send official transcripts from all previous colleges you have attended, and any AP/IB official score reports if applicable.
Watch this short video for an explanation of the steps you need to take prior to registering for classes. After you complete the Transfer Student Academic Interest Survey, an advisor will email you when we are ready to advise you.
First Year Students (coming right from high school)
Your Checklist for Getting Started!
For incoming first year students, below are the steps to get registered for classes. Completing the first step, the Academic Interest Survey, triggers the rest of the process so please complete it as soon as possible. Information will be sent to your Pacific University email so keep checking it frequently!

Step 1) Complete your Academic Interest Survey
Step 2) Complete the world language assessment and math assessment (if applicable) - details emailed after step 1 is complete
Step 3) Complete the First Year Seminar survey - details emailed after steps 1 and 2 are complete
Step 4) Sign up for your Advising and Registration Day - check your email for details
After you submit your deposit, you should have access to our pre-advising Moodle course - check your email for details
Step 5) Attend your Online Advising and Registration Day and complete the checklist, including registering for classes!

You only sign up for ONE event day once your checklist above is complete. Students will have an equitable experience whether they attend on Zoom or in person on their chosen date:

All advising and registration slots are filled on a first come first served basis. The quicker you complete the steps, the quicker you may sign up for Advising and Registration. After signing up, you will receive details on your advising and registration day via email.
How to Prepare for your Advising Day!
Start thinking about your major, review degree requirements in the catalog, and the classes you might want to take by going in to BoxerOnline and viewing the upcoming semester's schedule. Here are a few more tips to help you prepare:
- Know your Pacific University Net ID (your username, example: smit1234) and password so that you can log on to BoxerOnline and Moodle.
- Make sure you have steady internet access and can access our website.
- Know your work schedule so that you can schedule classes around those times, if needed.
- Write down a list of questions to ask the advisor ahead of time.
- Prepare to let your advisor know about any prior college credits you have received or AP/IB exams you have passed.

Webinar Information for First Year Freshmen Students - What to Expect!
Academic & Career Advising will be a live, interactive webinar. An advisor will guide you through general information that will help you to register for classes. Then, you will speak one-on-one with an advisor where you can discuss your major, graduate school, and career goals to help you make an informed decision on your first semester classes.
Academic & Career Advising will email you the link to access and participate in the your session.
