Though most bachelor’s degrees at Pacific University take four years to complete, three-year degrees in select majors will be available starting in the fall of 2027. Pacific University’s accelerated degrees are the first in-person 3 year bachelor’s degrees in Oregon and are offered for computer science, chemistry and sustainability and adaptation. Pacific University’s three-year degree program reduces the number of required credits for a bachelor’s degree from about 124 to 96 by cutting most general electives. The degree doesn’t require summer courses or taking extra courses during the academic year.
Students also get the full on-campus university experience. In some three-year degree programs (for example, some are only offered online), students don’t get the same university experience as four year students.
